Kano Confirms Two More Coronavirus Cases

The number of confirmed coronavirus
patients in Kano has risen to three, as the state confirmed two more cases on Monday.

Kano state recorded thier first COVID-19 confirmed case two day ago. According to report the index case, returned from Lagos.

He was diagnosed at the COVID-19 laboratory test centre at the Amimu Kano Teaching Hospital where he tested positive.


 He is said to have moved to the isolation centre in Kwanar Dawaki, Kano

 Governor of kano state media aid announced via his Twitter handle 

“This is to announce that 2 additional cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed after their test results returned positive. The total number of cases now in Kano State stands at 3,” Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s media aide, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, famously known as Dawisu, posted on Twitter





Kano state is a Northern Nigeria Region that borders Katsina State to the north-west, Jigawa State to the north-east, Bauchi State to the south-east and Kaduna State to the south-west. 

Kaduna and Bauchi state have recorded six cases each of the covid19 virus 

According to report Kaduna state is have imposed lockdown to stop the spread of virus.

The government of kano state has since imposed banned tricycle riders from carrying more than one passenger.

“The state  task force committee have  also met with religous leader's in the state to decide on how to operate the places of worships in order to curb the spread of the virus.


Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported as follows:

13 in Lagos
2 in Edo
2 in Kano
2 in Ogun
1 in Ondo

As at 09:50 pm 13th April there are 343 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 91 have been discharged with 10 deaths
